Combining power and sensitivity. GDRX® 5 is an ultra-sensitive multi-channel digital receiver and signal processor. Separate channels for weak and strong signals provide an extremely wide dynamic range, so all backscatters of meteorological interest can be displayed across the entire operating range of the radar.

The pilot has very little time or altitude to take evasive action. Leonardo’s low-level wind shear alert system (LLWAS) product is designed to enhance the safety, regularity and efficiency of aviation in changing wind conditions based on ground wind sensors. It combines the latest UCAR Phase-3 LLWAS technology and Leonardo system expertise to detect low-level wind shear along the runway corridor and issue timely warnings to ATC staff.
The METEOR 1700C is a high-powered C-Band weather radar designed for precise weather detection and warning in clutter-polluted environments. The sophisticated system features a fully coherent 250kW klystron transmitter to deliver excellent data quality and maximum clutter suppression. This is particularly important for close-to-ground observations required by airport users.
The METEOR 1700S is a high-powered S-Band weather radar system. It was designed to be employed in severe weather regions, where attenuation by intervening heavy rainfall impedes the precise measurement of precipitation at long ranges.
The METEOR 60DX is a highly sensitive X-Band weather radar system based on magnetron technology and featuring dual polarization as standard. Thanks to its compact design and unique radar-over-elevation configuration the METEOR 60DX is suitable for mobile applications and permanent installation. RainSNIP, our tool for scientific radar data analysis and display, is a standalone software package that contains a set of applications to read, manipulate, and display radar data. RainSNIP is available for standard operating systems (Windows and Linux).
ShearScout® Sonic and ShearScout® 3D provide integrated solutions for wind shear detection and 3D weather monitoring at airports. Focus can be put on the aerodrome itself or include the glide path and the airport hinterland. Different hard- and software options allow an individual configuration according to the local meteorological conditions and the available budget.
